The College of Intensive Care Medicine Annual Scientific Meeting (CICM ASM) is being held in Darwin, NT from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May 2015.
The 2015 meeting will be single themed - Catch the Bug - Battling Infectious Diseases in ICU and will showcase ICU and Infectious Diseases expertise in a spectacular tropical setting. The international speakers are experts drawn from Adult and Paediatric ICU with an interest in infectious diseases - Prof Jean-Daniel Chiche (Past President of ESICM), Prof Sunit Singhi (President of WFPICCS), Prof Argen Dondorp (Mahidol-Oxford group), Prof Charles Gomersall (Hong Kong) and A/Professor Victor Peter (Vellore).
The Australian and New Zealand speakers are drawn from both ICU and Infectious Diseases fields - a unique blending of the two disciplines in one meeting. The program will cover all aspects of the treatment and management of infections in ICU from antimicrobials, monitoring, ventilation strategies and even ECMO - it's an exciting program that will generate a lot of discussion and ideas to take home into your own practice.
The social program will be uniquely Darwin and we certainly know how to host a good party! Arrive on Thursday in time for the Mindil Beach Markets - a Darwin must do for tourists from all over the world. The welcome reception will provide you with a relaxed tropical environment to chat to friends over a boutique beer and a croc burger and experience a little Darwin culture. The ASM Dinner will be on the lawns of SkyCity overlooking the Arafura Sea - a spectacular place to graduate! The exotic and accessible location of Darwin at the perfect time of year for the tropics, the grass roots nature of the theme and the world class speakers is sure to make this the best meeting of the year for Intensivists and Infectious Diseases clinicians. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity!
